You Have Anointed My Head With Oil
Today’s Word of Encouragement From Wayne:
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; my cup overflows”
Psalm 23:5
In order for us to truly see the table of God’s presence, which He has prepared for us, we need first to have our heads anointed with oil.
When we receive, yield to, and joyfully allow the oil of God’s Holy Spirit to permeate our minds, our thinking, our heads; then our spiritual eyes are activated, opened, and we see the table of God’s presence beckoning us to come and minister to our Lord.
It is the anointing of God’s Holy Spirit within and over us that shines a constant, clear, and entreating pathway, directing us into the presence of our Abba Father with our High Priest Jesus Christ.
The temple of God dwells within us, just as the apostle Paul wrote, and the Spirit of God dwells within us, calling us to the temple (1 Corinthians 3: 16). The anointing of God always says, “come to me.” We are always clothed and in our right minds when we are seated at the feet of Jesus, in His presence (Mark 5: 15).
What a great gift God has given us! He has anointed our heads with the oil of a renewed mind in Jesus Christ. Indeed, even as Paul wrote, “We have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2: 16).
We are graced by God’s Holy Spirit, His holy anointing, so we might always be aware of God’s presence and Person abiding within us. Just like David, we too know that if we are feeding from the table of God’s presence in the midst of our enemies, then surely this is the sign that “You have anointed my head with oil.”
Only the anointed head sees and feeds from the table.
The un-anointed head can only see the enemies, and thinks that talk of the table of God’s presence is foolishness.
Beloved child of God, simply thank God for anointing your head and soon you will feel and know for sure that your head is anointed. Follow the anointing, into God’s presence, draw nearer, and feed from His beautiful table, the table of His presence, His living bread.
Oh Lord, we thank You God for feeding us Yourself from the table of Your presence at all times. We bless the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!
