God Satisfies & Refreshes The Weary, In Himself
Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:
“‘I will fill the soul of the priests with abundance, and My people will be satisfied with My goodness,’ declares the Lord”
Jeremiah 31:14
“For I satisfy the weary ones and refresh everyone who languishes”
Jeremiah 31:25
God wants to “satisfy” you with His goodness today so He may take away and heal you of your weariness.
God wants to “refresh” your life in Him today, in His presence, so you may once more be looking joyfully and expectantly unto Him, instead of languishing over that which is of this life and this world.
We have been looking at Jeremiah 31:14 for the past three days, concerning God filling the soul of His priests (and we are His priests in this day, 1st Peter 2:9, Rev 1:5-6) with His Own abundance, so that His people will be satisfied with “My goodness.” And this is what our God is ready to do for us in His presence, every time. Hallelujah!
Also in Jeremiah 31, further down, in verse 25, God gave this further word on the subject of our satisfaction, saying “For I satisfy the weary ones and refresh everyone who languishes.”
This is another beautiful evidence of our great God’s loving concern and care for us, His people.
You see, God does fill our priestly souls with His abundance in His presence, so that we will be satisfied with His goodness, just as it says in verse 14. And now in verse 25 we see a further revelation of God’s heart of love for us on this issue, “For I satisfy the weary ones and refresh everyone who languishes.”
O beloved priest of God, we do so need to be our Lord’s faithful and “royal priesthood” (1st Peter 2;9) in this day, to minister to our God, giving Him continual glory so that His glory may actually arise over His whole church. In addition, our loving Lord of life also sees that we do get weary, and that we do languish, so He entreats us to come to Him so that He Himself may Personally satisfy and refresh us in His presence! Yes, for “in your presence is fullness of joy” (Psalm 16:11).
Come before His presence as His priest even now, give God your praise, and let Him touch you, removing weariness and languishing even as He satisfies and refreshes you with His goodness! Yes, bless the Lord. Hallelujah!
