Living With Our Prince Of Peace In His Kingdom Of Peace
Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:
“For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; and the government will rest on His shoulders; and His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of peace”
Isaiah 9:6
Praise God, Jesus Christ has been “born to us” that He might live in us, now, as our “Prince of Peace.”
So, let us allow His peace to gently reign in our hearts today.
Peace is the fabric, the very nature of the kingdom of God within us and Jesus Christ, our “Prince of Peace,” is Himself the guarantee of our peace.
The apostle Paul wrote, “But now in Christ Jesus you who formerly were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace” (Ephesians 2:13-14).
As surely as Christ is our risen Savior living within us (“Christ in you, the hope of glory” Coalescence 1:27), so surely also is our Lord Christ’s Own peace within us at this moment “for He Himself is our peace.”
Not only is our Savior Jesus, Himself, our peace, but specifically Jesus Christ resides within us as our “Prince of Peace.”
Peace is not a gift from God. Peace is the gift of God, of God Himself, given to us in love so we might know that “He Himself is our peace.”
As our “Prince of Peace” it is God’s Own divine decree that His peace be in us. It is God’s express will that we live in His kingdom of peace under His Lordship of peace.
Oh how blessed we are to see such a vivid display of our God’s great love and care for us, His children.
Let us all grow in a much greater awareness of our indwelling “Prince of Peace.”
If we will relate to Christ as our “Prince of Peace” continually then we will have the presence of mind to access His peace when we need it most. Jesus told us, “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
Instead of doubting God and His presence in the midst of tribulation, I encourage you to run to God and respond to the covering presence of His peace, the peace of Christ Himself in you.
This is so important, for our own state of mind and emotions every single day. Jesus indicated in this scripture that the awareness of His peace within, in the face of tribulations, produces “courage.”
Oh Praise God that Jesus’ reign of peace within our hearts offers us the constancy of His Own loving presence while, simultaneously, His reign of peace within our hearts offers us courage and protection against all tribulation.
Oh thank You Jesus that You, Yourself, are our “Prince of Peace.” We gratefully submit today to Your kingdom of peace and Your reign of peace within our hearts.
Hallelujah!
