You Are My Hiding Place

Today’s Word Of Encouragement From Wayne:

“You are my hiding place; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with songs of deliverance”

Psalm 32:7

God is our hiding place.

When we enter the inner court, our inner room, to worship our “Father Who is in secret” (Matthew 6:6), we are in our hiding place.

This is where we praise God and minister to Him in His presence and this is where He protects us, strengthens us, and surrounds us “with songs of deliverance.”

In fact, God preserves us from trouble when we are in our hiding place with Him.

We have seen many times where David expressed His desire, saying “I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord” (Psalm 27:6). Now in this verse, we see David declaring “You surround me with songs of deliverance.”

What I see is this; when we come before God’s presence regularly, to sing to Him and minister to Him, we are putting ourselves in a spiritual environment where we are able to hear God surrounding us with His Own “songs of deliverance.”

In ministering to and before our Lord each day, we are blessed to know that, even as we sing praises to Him, our Lord God is surrounding us with songs of His deliverance. Our God is always ready to minister to us when we are in need. How beautiful is this!

What are these songs of deliverance? In the midst of His presence, as we are ministering to our loving Lord, God floods us with the truth of His word, Spirit, lovingkindness, and power even as we are in His praises, ministering to him, and then this erupts into songs of deliverance, from our innermost being, flowing forth from our own hearts and mouths in the declaration of victory and the further praises of our God.

God gives us these songs of deliverance in His presence.

Hide a while with your Lord today and minister to Him in His presence, for He is worthy, and allow Him to surround you with His songs of deliverance over you. Thank You Lord! Hallelujah!
